Somerset Skills & Learning makes positive changes to people's lives, through learning. We work across Somerset, providing adult education, apprenticeships and traineeships. As well as offering skills, qualifications, training and development, we also invest in community projects to help disadvantaged groups improve their lives through learning.

Suzi Magic

Suzi French was a nurse so has always liked helping others to feel better. She does that now by sharing her experiences of using Magnetix magnetic jewellery and wellness products. They have helped her with chronic pain, migraine and menopausal symptoms and she now enjoys sharing these magical products with others.

She has also self published a book of poetry about her experiences with OCD, Anxiety & Depression, hoping that it will help others to see there is life after mental illness. She'll be offering signed copies of her book for sale at the event with a proportion of the profits going to mental health charities.

Weston Hospice Care

Weston Hospicecare provides free palliative care to people in Weston-super-Mare and northern Somerset, supporting patients and their families from diagnosis to bereavement and beyond.

Our goal is to help people to live as well as they can for as long as they can, enabling them to feel like family and friends again, not just patients and carers.

The hospice must raise 80% of its £4.2million-a-year costs locally, and benefits from a committed and widespread network of community supporters.

It also offers a host of sponsorship, partnership and volunteering opportunities for companies across the South West

Fancy Pants

Two years ago, my eldest daughter was ready for big school. Only she wasn't REALLY ready. She was worried, nervous and scared.

I took her shopping for some POSITIVE PANTS to make her feel invincible on her first day. Only we couldn't find any anywhere so had to make our own!

Fast forward to today and my youngest is now going through the same! It made me realise that there must be lots of children needing a little bit of positivity throughout their days so I decided to launch my own brand!

And why just stop at POSITIVE when there are so many occasions in life where we need that little something to help us along our way!
